When water goes down the drain, it travels through pipes away from the house. First, it goes into big pipes underground. From there, the water continues to a cleaning station. At the cleaning station, the water is cleaned of all dirt and trash so it becomes clean again. Once the water is clean, it can be sent back into nature, like into rivers or lakes.

The drain helps us take dirty water away and clean it, so we can keep the environment clean.
